Grenada

Grenada gained its independence from the United Kingdom in 1974. Once controlled by Spain, France took over and began to export sugar. It ceded to the UK and remained until it finally became its own nation as it remains today. It began to be noticed when it hosted the 2007 Cricket World Cup.

The islands are of a volcanic origin with very rich soil.

Mountains, valleys, waterfalls and a tropical climate make it a wonderful place to vacation. Nicknamed the spice isle because it home to the production of a variety of spices including cloves, ginger, mace, nutmeg and coffee as well.
