Other sites also exist in the area which require attention including Kilauea Crater, Puna-Ka’u Historic District, the Volcano House, and the Wilkes Campsite. It is also worth visiting the various museums and visitor center to help you get better acquainted with the area and its history.

The island of Hawaii is actually made up of five separate volcanoes they are Kohala, Mauna Kea, Hualalai, Mauna Loa, and Kilauea.
